But the divine gift of eternal sunshine gives Crete an early start for one's vacation, from March until the end of October.
Chania has the largest amount of water supplies in Crete (65%), so there is rich vegetation of plants and fruit trees (citrus, olives, vines, etc.) as well as semi-tropical plants. The very clean beaches of Chania always win European "blue flags" and are accessible for all ages throughout the year.
In summer, be prepared for hot temperatures: Bring sun block, dark glasses, and a hat.
